Solo registration
For the first time in the Algarve Bike Challenge it will be possible to race individually. In this case your category will be automatically attributed considering your age, no matter the category you are registered on the UCI. There will be 5 categories both for male and female, although there is a minimum of 5 riders to consider a category. Otherwise riders will be assigned on a major category.

Teams of Two
Team members can be of different age and gender.
At the Checkpoints (CP) and at the Finish line, the team result is only validated when the two team members are present at the same time.
Teams subscribed on the Algarve Bike Challenge follow the specific rules created by the Organization.
There is a General Classification and 7 different categories classifications set by the age and gender of team members.
The category is defined by the age of the younger rider considered on December 31st 2025.
There will be 7 categories in the race, although there is a minimum of 3 teams per category. Otherwise teams will race in a major category.

The start in the prologue stage will be according the category of each team.
On Stages 2 and 3 there will be three starts as the following:
09:00 – Top 100 teams according the general classification.
09:10 – 101 to 300 on the general classification.
09:20 – Remaining teams.
