Race Services

The Algarve Bike Challenge is a premium, full-service mountain bike stage race. From the day the race starts, riders need only look after their bodies, maintain their morale and enjoy the beautiful trails. Everything else is taken care of. From accommodation on 4star hotels, buffet breakfast, event dinner party on saturday evening, great well served feed station on stages, pasta party after stages and much more. Riders have only to care about what they love most: Riding their bikes!

Feed Stations during the stages and upon the finish line

The Algarve Bike Challenge participants will have two feed stations per stage and one water point along the route. The feed stations of the Algarve Bike Challenge are famous because they look like authentic banquets that include sport food bars, gels, fruits, dry regional sweets, marmalade cubes, gums, french fries, water, juices, coke and high quality isotonic drinks. Upon their arrival the Algarve BC riders will have an exclusive area with recovery drinks.

Techzone

Our partners Bikesul and Abílio Bikes will supply the technical assistance at the feed zones and after the stages. This service is free of charge, and spare parts are charged for at market-related prices, to be paid in cash on site. In the paddock area, stage start and finish this service will be also available.

Professional Stopandgo Timekeeping

All the riders will be timed through a RFID chipset placed on his/her bib number to be placed on the bike’s handlebar. There will be a general classification and categories classification. Along the route there will be checkpoints to control and time all teams.

Line Life Star Medical Support

Medical support throughout the race is ensured by the professional rescue service from Line Life Star with more than 15 professionals, with ambulances, all terrain cars, motorcycles and a medical field hospital settle at the paddock in Tavira.

GPS Trackers available for rental

Teams can rent a Gps Tracker for the price of 12€. This is for sure a surplus in terms of safety reasons as well as allowing friends and family to follow riders online in real-time.
